The book has some eighteen chapters out of total forty-eight pieces which have direct reference to England’s struggle with Napolean during the period 1801 to 1815. The author has drawn these pieces largely from the ‘Diary and Correspondence of Charles Abbot, Lord Colchester’, and the ‘Despatches of the Duke of Wellington’, by Lieutenant-Colonel Gurwood.
